Mission Comics, Stockton Con, FWC, Oh My!

It's been a busy week as we prepare for the opening exhibition of Tale With A Soul. Charlie was in the Fourth Way Comics Dungeon yesterday signing mats and helping us frame his original watercolors for the show.

We began to sound like wind up dolls, as each time a piece was perfectly affixed within its frame we exclaimed, "I love this one!" There was a lot to love with 45 individual watercolors that ranged from starkly monochromatic to vibrantly colorful with a mix of softer dreamlike pastel works in between.Today Lydia and Charlie worked with Leef at Mission Comics to install the finished pieces where they will be on display through out the month. This is the original artwork that went into the comic, available for purchase at a range of prices to suit every pocketbook. Come get your favorite piece before someone else does. The opening soiree is this Friday night, 8/2, from 7pm-9pm, so break out the lint brush and your best black turtleneck so you can join us in making vague and sweeping intellectual statements, plastic cup of vino in hand. This is an exhibition to see my friends! We sincerely hope you will be able to join us and celebrate Charlie's success in completing this project with us. In a perfect world we world we would present him with a T-shirt that says, "I survived a collaborative dictatorship with Fourth Way Comics and can't wait to do it again!" As it is, we will shower him with much deserved praise, hugs, and pats on the back, and you can too! There will be food, there will be wine, there will be art, and the DJ stylings of MxA. Can you say P-A-R-T-Y? At Mission Comics, 3520 20th St San Francisco, CA 94110, (415) 695-1545.Then, because there is no rest for collaborative dictators and their friends, we will pack up and meet you at Stockton-Con on Sunday, 8/4. "What's that?", you say, "A comic book convention!?!?!" Yes, indeed! It's a nerdalicious weekend for FWC! You'll have to break out that lint brush again to clean off your Batman t-shirt and join us at booth AA20 for more vague and sweeping intellectual statements mixed with analysis of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and photo ops with Thor and Poison Ivy. Yeeeeessssss!!!!!Ticketing Details, etc. here- http://stocktoncon.com/
